Happy Labor Day! We hope you enjoyed the week, regardless of whether you celebrated it yesterday or if you still have months until that first weekend in September. Happy Friday, peeps!
We are pleased to announce that the CompTIA Security+ exam has officially been made available worldwide, in case you missed the big news yesterday. Yesterday, May 1, CompTIA’s SY0-401 exam was officially launched worldwide in English. More languages will be added over the coming months. According to the vendor the new exam places more emphasis on BYOD and mobile security as well as risk mitigation.
Terry Erdle, CompTIA’s executive vice president for skills certification and learning, stated that “this update reflects the changes, and challenges, IT professionals face in cybersecurity.”
It sounds like it’s all going according to plan. Security problems continue to grow, and with the ‘heartbleed” disaster still being raging (with no end in sight), it is not surprising that the update doesn’t come as a surprise.
